The new energy future will need diverse energy sources to meet rising demand. Managing emissions and better energy use will help safeguard the environment and conserve resources. New energy sources and getting more from existing resources will secure energy for decades to come.
Efficiency is increasing by about 2% a year, and absorbs most of the requirements for energy development. New technology makes better use of already available energy through improved efficiency, such as more efficient fluorescent lamps, engines, and insulation.

The future of ICT is indeed wireless as the mobile device becomes more than a mere connectivity medium giving access to a host of services such as finance, health, entertainment and education. The advent of smartphones and innovations in other consumer devices, many of the most exciting technologies currently impacting the broadcast industry, including set-top boxes, hybrid TVs, LCDs, netbooks, tablets, media players, combined with the emergence of IP-based distribution technologies have transformed viewers from passive receptors to active selectors of globally distributed content.

BIOTECHNOLOGIES

Biotechnology is a field of applied biology that involves the use of living things in engineering, technology, medicine, and other useful applications. Modern use of the term includes genetic engineering as well as cell- and tissue culture technologies. The concept encompasses a wide range (and history) of procedures for modifying living organisms according to human purposes - going back to domestication of animals, cultivation of plants, and "improvements" to these through breeding programs that employ artificial selection and hybridization.
